UNF Intermediate Hand Taps
UNF Intermediate Hand Taps are designed for accurately cutting Unified National Fine (UNF) internal threads during hand tapping operations. These intermediate (second) taps are used after a taper tap to progressively form precise threads while reducing cutting load and improving thread quality. Manufactured from high-speed steel (HSS) for durability and long service life, UNF hand taps are suitable for engineering, automotive, fabrication, maintenance and general workshop applications. Ideal for use in materials including mild steel, carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, aluminium and other machinable materials, they provide reliable thread cutting performance for both new threads and thread repair.
